The Inn on Gitchee Gumee is in a wonderful location. We have stayed there before. The rooms are decorated differently. They are very comfortable. We are excited to meet the new owners. They are very enthusiastic about upgrading the Inn. We will be back next year to sse the changes.

We came to celebrate our wedding anniversary-so blessed to be able to enjoy the beautiful views of Lake Superior. It rained off and on during our stay, but did not dampen our time. The first day there we were greeted with a double rainbow, right on the lake close to our room. For us it represented evidence of God's love and faithfulness through out "40" years of marriage. Stayed in the Dream Catcher suite, the view out three windows was awesome. The bed was comfy and we loved having the fireplace on a chilly night. We visited some our favorite spots along the lake including Gooseberry falls. Top the day off with a delicious beef pastie from Betty's Pies Restaurant and a piece of pie ala mode. Recommend the Great lakes Crunch! We were greeted by the new owner Reilly, when we first arrived, throughout our stay he was there to make sure we were accommodated. He is an amazing host and sure to make your visit at Gitche Gumee as enjoyable as the scenery! Also loved his heart and vision he has to bring the hotel to a new level, we hope to get back sometime next year to see what he accomplishes !

The Inn on Scenic Hwy. 61 on the Lake Superior Northshore is a true gem. Owners Reilly and Brittany were very thoughtful and accommodating. Thanks for the beautiful fresh flowers in our room! The nicely manicured landscape abounds with beautiful annuals and perennials. There is plenty of space to sit and enjoy the beauty of the lake. Location is great! You are close to Duluth and only 20 minutes from Two Harbors. Thank you for a very enjoyable weekend.

My wife and I stayed for our honeymoon here. The room was beautiful and quirky. We checked in one week after the inn was purchased by new owners who are a wonderful couple just like the previous owners. They did a wonderful job making our stay pleasant and even gifted us a bottle of champagne for us to celebrate. The view out of the loon's nest is amazing. We will definitely be coming back to celebrate our anniversary in years to come.

This place was so beautiful! I got to wake up with an amazing view of lake superior, I loved it here! It also had an amazing breakfast and gift shop.

Unique cozy getaway right off lake superior. Dog friendly, and wonderful, nice owners. We stayed at the loons nest which is on the 2nd floor and had a lake view. It was decorated with care, bed was comfortable with a clean fresh scent, and it had cups and plates and some ice in the freezer for our use. Both our toddler and large dog were very comfortable in the space. The breakfast of pancakes and omelets were amazing (and vegetarian friendly!) There is a parking lot in the back as well for easy parking. Very welcoming owners and place.

Amazingly quirky place to stay. Beautiful view of the lake, big outdoor fireplace with free wood to burn. Lots of birds and red squirrels. Nice rooms with a stove and sink. The themes are adorable and a electric fireplace just makes it all feel cozy.

Rooms are quiet and rustic. It's just outside Duluth so it has that country feel to it. Close to many activities and parks. The morning breakfast was fantastic.

Amazing views from our comfy Three Bears cottage. The beds made it feel like you're sleeping in a tree house. The special pancake breakfasts were artful with our kids names, unicorns, and swirls and brought huge smiles to our kids faces and stomaches! Next time we're in Duluth we'll be back for sure!

Wonderful cabin stay! Very nice inside and home-like w/ cable, DVD player, fire place, all essentials. Breakfast from Butch was great! Pancakes with either strawberries or blueberries cooked and yummy omelets. Great place to stay close to Duluth but far enough away to make it feel like you're away from the hustle and bustle of a large city!

Along the gorgeous Lake Superior, is a lovely Inn on Gitchee Gumee. With breathtaking views, and gardens covering the large front lawn, it's very welcoming. Two wooden chainsaw carved eagles are perched on the sign to greet you as you turn in.
The owners, Butch and Julie Sievert, are down to earth people. Butch cooks an incredible breakfast for all who stay there. He writes children's names on their pancakes...and God Loves You on everyone else's. A beautiful touch...and oh, so true!
The Cabin was the name of our room. Woodsy and unique, it welcomed us in a special way.
Beds were so comfy! Loved the electric wall/fireplace.
It is a special place. Enjoy your stay when you go, everyone!
